Report on the Training: Understanding the Principles of Collaborative Leadership

Introduction

The Himilo Youth Organization held an important training on August 20, 2025, under the theme “Understanding the Principles of Collaborative Leadership.”

The purpose of the training was to enhance knowledge and skills in collaborative leadership, and to raise awareness among youth and community organizations on the value of cooperation and networking.

Participants

The training brought together representatives from 35  {9 woman } {26man } community organizations, including groups working with youth, women, and civil society organizations.

Training Content

The training focused on the following key areas:

1. Understanding Collaborative Leadership
   1. What it means.
   1. Why it is important for communities and institutions.
2. Networking and Introduction
   1. Building new professional and collaborative connections.
   1. Approaches to strengthening organizational cooperation.
3. Collaboration and Solidarity
   1. How organizations can work together in unity.
   1. Case studies and open discussions with participants.

Achievements and Impact

• New partnerships were established among participating organizations.
• Youth participants gained deeper understanding of the role of collaborative leadership.
• A spirit of cooperation and solidarity was fostered, paving the way for future joint projects and initiatives.

Conclusion

The training “Understanding the Principles of Collaborative Leadership” proved to be a valuable opportunity for uniting youth and community organizations, while strengthening their knowledge on collaborative leadership.

Himilo Youth Organization reaffirms its commitment to continue delivering such impactful programs to further promote community cooperation and youth development in Somalia.
